Private Space Ventures Seen as Key to Region's Future

May 07, 2012 | WMFE - The private space exploration company, Space-X, is planning to launch its first mission soon carrying supplies to the International Space Station.
The launch has been postponed several times while technicians work out technical challenges but the company hopes to try again later this
month.
Reporter James Dean writes about space for Florida Today. He says the dawning of a commercial space industry may mark the start of an exciting new era for the region. 90.7's Tom Parkinson spoke with him about the upcoming Space-X flight and about what the advent of a private spaceflight industry means for the future of the Space Coast.
