Hank Fishkind November 17 Florida: Not in Fiscal Peril A report released last week by the Pew Center on the States found that Florida and 8 other states are in fiscal peril and will soon have budgetary problems similar to those in California. Florida is facing flat population growth, high unemployment and multi-billion dollar budget gaps. But 90.7's economic analyst Hank Fishkind says the Pew Center analysis is off base. He says the state is in "economic distress" but California style fiscal peril is not in our future.
