Orange County School Board to Discuss Budget The Orange County School Board will hold a work session this afternoon to discuss a possible property tax hike to balance the budget. Board members are expected to propose an additional 25 cents per thousand dollars of assessed value.
“In fact, from the starting point of this year to where we are now, we’ve already lost about $92 dollars per student or the equivalent of a little over $15 million dollars.” This comes when the district says it will need an additional $30 million dollars to comply with strict new class size caps in the fall. |
