Governor Elect Rick Scott to Meet with President Obama

December 02, 2010 | A day after slamming the White House's decision not to allow new oil drilling in the Eastern Gulf of Mexico and along the US Atlantic seaboard, Governor Elect Rick Scott is set to meet with President Obama Thursday. In a statement issued Wednesday, Scott called the Obama Administration's decision "another example of government regulation impeding economic growth." Meanwhile current Governor, Charlie Crist, called the oil decision wonderful news for Florida's residents and tourism industry.
