Hank Fishkind December 7 Florida Tourism and the Unemployment Crisis

December 7, 2010 | WMFE - Last week, SeaWorld announced it was cutting 350 jobs at its theme parks across the country. 129 of those layoffs will come at SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica and Discovery Cove here in Central Florida. The announcement comes as the region's tourism business is starting to bounce back after a few tough years. 90.7's Tom Parkinson spoke with economic analyst Hank Fishkind about the layoffs, the health of the tourism industry and the employment situation across Central Florida. Dr. Fishkind says the announcement from SeaWorld does not mean the company is in trouble.
