January 11, 2011 | WMFE - Florida's new governor and his transition team are rolling out more plans for an ambitious makeover of state government. This week we're continuing our discussion about Scott's plans with 90.7 economic analyst Hank Fishkind. Among the recommendations from the transition task force: eliminating or merging at least a dozen state agencies and laying off thousands of workers from the state payroll. Dr. Fishkind says Florida would save money if those measures are implemented but not enough to put a dent in the projected state budget deficit
