Hank Fishkind May 17 - SunRail Will Benefit Central Florida Economy

May 17, 2011 | WMFE - Just before the legislative session began this spring, Governor Rick Scott called a halt to Central Florida's planned SunRail commuter rail project while his office conducts a full review. His advisors are reportedly studying the cost and benefits of the proposed rail line and whether or not the project should continue.

The governor is expected to announce his decision later this summer and groups on both sides of the issue are weighing in.
Earlier this year, Gov. Scott turned away $2 billion dollars in federal funding for the Orlando to Tampa high speed rail line. 90.7’s Tom Parkinson asked economic analyst Hank Fishkind why the SunRail project is different.
