Central Floridians Still Getting to Know GOP Senate Candidates.

Aug. 19, 2011 | WMFE - Several Republicans who're hoping to challenge US Senator Bill Nelson next year will face off Saturday morning in Orlando. It's the first debate since State Senator Mike Haridopolos dropped out of the race for the GOP nomination.

Four candidates are expected to attend: State Representative Adam Hasner, former US Senator George LeMieux, Former Army Colonel Mike McCalister and Craig Miller, the former CEO of the Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse chain.
The debate is co-sponsored by the Florida Family Policy Council and the Central Florida Tea Party.
Floridians don't know much about any of the Republican candidates yet. 90.7’s Tom Parkinson spoke with Peter Brown of Quinnipiac University's Polling Institute to find out more about the status of the race.
