Dec. 14, 2011 | WMFE - Construction is underway on a new $380 million performing arts center in downtown Orlando. The project is part of a more than $1 billion plan that brought to life the new Amway Center and also calls for an upgrade of the Citrus Bowl. But when the performing arts center faced a funding short-fall Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs declined to offer more county funds. Her decision came as a surprise to Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and others involved in the project. This week on "Intersection" Jacobs talked with 90.7's Mark Simpson about her position.
