Shuttle Move and Rocket Launch on the Space Coast

January 20, 2012 | WMFE - Space shuttle Atlantis is being moved today from its processing hanger to the vehicle assembly building. Atlantis is going to be stored at the VAB while shuttle Endeavor is prepped for retirement. Atlantis will ultimately be displayed at the Kennedy Space Center visitors Center.

 Last night a military satellite launched from the Space Coast on a delta IV rocket.

The satellite known as the Wideband Global SATCOM Satellite is the fourth in a series of similar satellites.

 Another rocket launch, this time for the Navy is slated for Cape Canaveral February 16th.
