Fishkind Commentaries: Proposed PIP Changes Will Impact All Florida Drivers

March 06, 2012 | WMFE - Before the scheduled end of the legislative session this week, lawmakers are considering a measure that affects every one who drives a car in Florida: reform of the Personal Injury Protection insurance program known as PIP.

The no-fault auto insurance is mandatory for drivers in Florida but state leaders say fraudulent claims are driving up the cost of auto insurance for everyone.
The legislature is set to make some major changes to the program.
