Thirteen members of American Front are named in the documents from State Attorney Lawson Lamar’s office. The charges vary from participating in paramilitary training to conspiracy to shoot at, within, or into a building.

Accused ringleader Marcus Faella faces an additional charge of directing the activities of a gang and conducting paramilitary training.

American Front has been identified by both the Southern Poverty Law Center and Anti-Defamation League as a hate group.

In the documents, Lamar says the charges send a message "that criminal behavior whose thesis is hate and intolerance will not be allowed to flourish in our neighborhoods.”
