George Zimmerman Released from Seminole County Jail July 6, 2012 | WMFE - George Zimmerman was released from Seminole County Jail this afternoon. Defense Attorney Don West says that Zimmerman posted 1 million dollars bond. Zimmerman was quickly escorted into a waiting SUV after being released from jail.
He will be monitored using a GPS tracking device and his movements are restricted to Seminole county.
Attorney Don West says Zimmerman is still receiving threats against him.
The legal team may also ask for Zimmerman’s movement restrictions to be lifted, “You know I think that’s a likely occurrence that we’ll ask the court to extend the boundary perhaps beyond Seminole county and perhaps to the state and conceivably outside of state as well.”
Zimmerman faces second degree murder charges in the death of 17 year old Travyon Martin.
Earlier this week the judge overseeing the case scolded Zimmerman saying it appeared he was trying manipulate the legal system. |
