Alex Martins says there’s no rush to getting the coaching spot filled, but  the team's new General Manager Rob Hennigan is targeting the end of the month.

Martins wants the next coach of the Magic to be a leader who can teach players how to win, but also someone who has championship level experience,

“You know we’ve gotten to the finals but we haven’t had that last 10% and to bring in people who’ve been through that or been with organizations that have done that, to us will allow us to bring that level of experience to the table that perhaps we haven’t had here before.”

The Magic are said to be in talks with staffers from teams including the Golden State Warriors, the Indiana Pacers, the L.A. Lakers, and the San Antonio Spurs.

Martins also indicated the team is well along in plans for a season without superstar Dwight Howard.
