President Obama Returns to Central Florida Friday

July 18, 2012 | WMFE - President Obama is coming to Florida this week for a two-day campaign tour. The trip includes a stop in Winter Park Friday afternoon.

The tour begins Thursday with stops planned in Jacksonville and West Palm Beach.
On Friday, the president will start the day with an event in Fort Myers then appear at a campaign rally at the Harold and Ted Alfond Sports Center at Rollins College in Winter Park at 4:00.

President Obama’s visit comes at a time when recent polls show him in a virtual tie with likely Republican nominee Mitt Romney in, what many analysts consider, an important swing state.

The White House says Mr. Obama will discuss what he says are fundamentally differences with Gov. Romney on how to grow the economy, create middle-class jobs and pay down the nation’s debt.
