Asian Americans make up Florida’s fastest growing ethnic group.
The 2010 census found nearly half-a-million Asian-American Floridians.

A new poll finds 57% percent of Asian Americans in the state say they will likely vote for President Obama while 29% favor Gov. Romney and 12 % are undecided.

Pollster Celinda Lake of Lake Research Partners says both of the candidates would be wise to spend more time reaching out to those voters.
“In the land of close elections and ‘hanging chads’ the Asian-American vote is definitely big enough to make the difference in the margin of success in a close election.” Lake said.

The poll also found 62% who think the country is on the wrong track economically and 55% rate the president’s job performance as “fair” or “poor”.
