Fishkind Commentary: Scott's Policies Suppressing Job Growth July 24, 2012 | WMFE - Employment figures were released Friday for the month of June and the state's overall jobless rate was unchanged at 8.6 percent even though the US as a whole saw employment gains. Florida's economy has generated nearly 67,000 new jobs in the year since June 2011 but that represents a gain of less than one percent. Gov. Rick Scott made a number of appearances around the state last week to tout job growth. The governor says his business friendly policies are responsible for creating more jobs in Florida. |
