As Florida's once thriving housing market muddles through recovery, the Obama administration is sending its top housing official to Orlando this week. The Secretary for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will be in Orlando Tuesday.

HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan will address the Florida housing Coalition’s Annual conference.

Donovan will be speaking about recent initiatives to help Central Florida homeowners and communities that are struggling through the housing crisis.

He’ll also be discussing the use of low cost refinancing to help families rebuild home equity.

Florida has one of the highest rates of foreclosure in the country.
