Intersection | The politics of sugar, "The Sweetness of Forgetting"


September 11, 2012 | WMFE - Big Sugar spends big to maintain a government program that boosts the U.S. price of sugar and costs consumers an estimated $2 billion annually. This week on Intersection 90.7's Amy Green discusses the ramifications in Florida, the nation's largest producer of sugar cane. Also, Central Florida novelist Kristin Harmel discusses her latest book, "The Sweetness of Forgetting." The novel is about the Holocaust, Alzheimer's disease and pastry baking.
