Space Expert: Sequestration Will Impact Space Coast Economy  February 28, 2013 | WMFE- The clock is ticking toward the so-called sequestration, the automatic cuts to all federal programs set to take effect tomorrow if an agreement is not reached. Here in central Florida, one of the areas that could be adversely affected is the space industry. Some experts are warning that the federal spending cuts could devastate efforts to revive the economy on Florida's space coast.
Dale Ketcham is the director of the University of Central Florida’s Spaceport Research and Technology Institute. WMFE’s Tom Parkinson asked him what impact the federal funding cuts might have on the space program.
