NAACP president Benjamin Jealous says he wants the civil rights organization to focus on restoring section four of the Voting Rights Act.

Jealous spoke as the conference opened Friday at the Orange County Convention Center.

The Supreme Court of the United States ruled section four of the Voting Rights Act unconstitutional late last month.

Section four required certain voting jurisdictions to receive federal clearance before changing voting rules. Five Florida counties were under this provision before the ruling.
