July 23rd, 2013 | WMFE - Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD, is estimated to affect eleven to twenty percent of military service members returning from Iraq or Afghanistan. University of Central Florida researcher Dr. Deborah Beidel is helping to treat these service members using smell therapy. 90.7's Matthew Peddie talks to her about the groundbreaking treatment along with a former patient in the program and his therapist to learn more about how the treatment works to help returning servicemen overcome PTSD. Also, in the wake of the George Zimmerman trial, Florida's stand your ground law faces public scrutiny. Matthew Peddie speaks with Florida House Representative Dennis Baxley, the Republican lawmaker from Ocala who crafted the 2005 House Bill that lead to the Stand Your Ground law about the challenges the law faces in the upcoming months.
