Fishkind Commentary: What Unemployment Rates Tell Us  July 23, 2013 | WMFE - Florida's latest jobs report came out last week, and the numbers seem to add up to good news for the state's economy. Governor Rick Scott is touting Florida's unemployment rate of 7.1 percent, which is below the national average of 7.5 percent. However, economic analyst Hank Fishkind says unemployment numbers don't tell the whole story: Florida's job growth is also slower than the national rate.
