Intersection | Saving the Capen House; DragonCon 2013


September 17th, 2013 | WMFE- Winter Park has its fair share of historical homes, but when owners would rather have the land than the house, preservation groups step in. The historic Capen house, built in 1885, was set to be demolished but instead the Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Garden is hoping to move the house to their property. To do that, they will have to float the house across Lake Osceola. This week on Intersection, a conversation with Debbie Komanski, the Executive Director of the Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Garden and Frank Roark, the chief contractor for the move and restoration of the historic Capen House. And later in the program, 90.7's Nicole Creston talks to sci-fi fans who made the annual pilgrimage to DragonCon.
