Oct 11th, 2013 | WMFE - Orlando restaurant critic Scott Joseph has been in the business for 25 years. He's seen trends and methods of reviewing eateries come and go, but he says technology has changed for good the way new restaurants are reviewed.

A reader recently asked Scott, how soon is too soon to review a new restaurant? Should a critic give the new place some time to “work out the kinks” before publishing a review that could help make or break the restaurant’s future? If the critic waits, will the public form its opinion based on opening-night customer reviews posted on websites like Yelp and Urban Spoon? 

Or, does a critic simply consider a restaurant “review ready” as soon as it opens its doors?
