Federal Law Enforcement Officers Raid Home Owned by State Representative Linda Stewart  February 26, 2014 | WMFE, Orlando - Homeland Security and the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation agents raided an Orlando rental property owned by State Representative Linda Stewart on Wednesday.
One person was arrested and appeared in court on a weapons charge. The house is in the district Stewart represents. She says she began evicting the tenants earlier this month after a period of lapsed rent. “I’m happy that if there was a situation going on there that they went in and they arrested people who were involved, and I wish they had arrested a lot more.” Stewart says her daughter and her boyfriend had been living at the house for the past few weeks, but they were not a target of the investigation. Neither Stewart’s daughter nor her boyfriend were on the lease of the home.
She said the home was rented with furniture that belonged to her daughter, who was there to keep an eye on it during the eviction process.
