In part 3 of this week's program, we turn to the Arts Connection Archives for stories about artists who currently have events in the area.

Anna Tomczak has an exhibit of her polacolor transfers, including pieces created with the rare 20x24 large format Polaroid camera, at Arts on Douglas in New Smyrna Beach through November 25. I spoke with her in February of 2004. (386-428-1133).

John Emery and Jerry Preston formed Preston Studios 30 years ago and have become nationally known creators of stained glass mainly for residential and commercial projects. Their commissions include the chapels at MD Anderson Cancer clinic in Orlando and the Flagler Memorial Hospital, as well as the Aquarina subdivision in Brevard county; those pieces are now displayed at the Eau Gallie Library and the Melbourne Beach Library. A Retrospective Exhibit celebrating their 30th anniversary is on display through November 19 at the Brevard Museum of Art and Sciences. I spoke to Emery in March of 2003. (321-242-0737)

Florida Today's arts writer Pam Harbaugh talked to John Emery about this exhibit - read her article here.

Terry Ann Thaxton spoke to Poetic Logic producer Sara Schlossman in 2003 about her poetry and how she become a writer. This Wednesday, No. 15 at 7pm, Thaxton will give a reading from her first book, Getaway Girl, at the Harris House Annex in New Smyrna Beach as part of ACA's Poets and Painters Fall Lecture Series.
