FL National Guard Says It's Prepared To Handle Disasters

June 27, 2007 -- The Florida National Guard says, despite losing some equipment in wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, it has the tools and the people it needs to help Florida make it through hurricane season. Earlier this week, we heard from retired General Barry McCaffrey, who said Congress needs to do more to fulfill its constitutional obligation to "replenish" the Guard. 90.7's David Pitman spoke with Lt. Colonel Ron Tittle, the Public Affairs Director with the Florida National Guard. While he admits there are some equipment shortages, he says the Guard is prepared for whatever may happen.
