Homeless Feeding Trial Starts Today

Sept. 11, 2007 - A young man who's accused of breaking Orlando's homeless feeding ordinance should get his day in court this morning. Eric Montanez was arrested in April and charged with serving food to more than 25 people in Lake Eola Park. Prosecutors say that means he violated the ordinance, but Montanez disagrees and has entered a not guilty plea. 90.7's Judith Smelser has been covering this story since the ordinance was passed last summer. She joined Morning Edition Host David Pitman to talk about the case.
