"Grieg Festival" at Rollins College - Jan. 9 - 11, 2009 Dave Glerum chats with Festival Director, Sylvia Eckes - Professor of Piano at Ohio University, Athens, OH. Hosted by the Rollins Music Department and the International Grieg Society of Bergen, Norway, the Festival brings together well-known Grieg specialists and young artists for presentations related to Edvard Grieg's lesser-known works. Members of the International Grieg Society in Bergen, Norway present lectures and host an exhibit of copies of his manuscripts from the Bergen Public Library. They join American artists in performances and serve as judges for master classes and the Young Artists Competition. Most events will take place at Keene Hall on the Rollins campus.
