Florida GOP Chair Discusses Primaries, Minority Voters Ahead of Convention in Orlando October 19, 2007 -- The Republican Party of Florida is opening its convention tomorrow in Orlando. The weekend event will be capped off by another presidential debate. This one, sponsored by Fox News Channel, will be held at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort. 90.7's David Pitman caught up with Florida GOP Chairman Jim Greer at a restaurant at the nearby Rosen Plaza Hotel. David asked Greer if he anticipates the GOP having an advantage in Florida in 2008, now that the Democratic National Committee has taken away the state's delegates and ordered Democratic presidential candidates not to campaign in Florida as punishment for the state moving up its primary date.
