New state song contest

November 27, 2007 -- For years, Florida's state song, Stephen Foster's Swanee River, has caused controversery because of lyrics that many consider racist. When state leaders decided it was time to do something about it, they partnered with the Florida Music Educator's Association to organize a contest for a new song. Over 240 people wrote or suggested songs. Finalists are expected to be announced next week, and 2 of the hopefuls live right here in Central Florida, as 90.7's Becky Morgan reports.
