UCF Study Says Region's Poor and Middle Income Residents on Economic Edge March 5, 2008 -- In 1996, the federal government undertook a massive effort to "end welfare as we know it." Since then, welfare rolls have been cut in half, sending thousands of low-income people into the workforce. It's being released this morning, and 90.7's Judith Smelser has this early look at the findings. Click here to listen to story.
