St. Johns Water Management Official Responds To "Most Endangered" List

(April 18, 2008) This week, a report from the river advocacy group American Rivers put the St. Johns River at number six, on the list of the top ten endangered rivers in the nation. Yesterday, the St. Johns Riverkeeper explained on Morning Edition that the St. Johns ended up on that list because of proposals to tap it to meet the needs of Central Florida's growing population. Today, we hear from Al Canepa of the St. Johns Water Management District. He told 90.7's David Pitman that the points the river advocates make are based more on opinion than on fact.
