Hi. I’m Secily Wilson, here’s a look at your local arts scene this week with The Arts Connection Minute for Monday August 25th.

Enjoy a performance of the Imperial Symphony Orchestra while sipping creative concoctions at their event called “Music & Martinis."  That’s tomorrow night from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lakeland Center.  Visit imperialsymphony.org for more information.

Tuesday August 26th

And tonight don’t miss the screening of Spike Lee’s academy award nominated film “Do the Right Thing” that’s part of The Enzian Theater’s Cult Classic series. The movie starts at 9:30 p.m. so check out enzian.org for your tickets.

Wednesday August 27th

Thursday August 28th

This weekend brush up on your film noir at the Garden Theatre with screenings of “The Postman Always Rings Twice,” “The Maltese Falcon,” and “Double Indemnity” all part of the Summer Movie Series. Visit wgtheatre.org for show times.

And tonight’s the night to rock out to power pop group “The Knack” at Orlando’s only Rock N’ Roll Cocktail party, “Velvet Sessions” tonight at the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando. The party starts at 6:30 p.m. so checkout velvetsessions.com for details.
