Monday October 6th  

Hi. I’m Secily Wilson, here’s a look at your local arts scene this week with The Arts Connection Minute for Monday October 6th.

Today, Rollins College will host Tony Nominated Alum; Christopher Fitzgerald for a Q and A session.. He will be at the Anne Russell Theatre at 4:30 p.m. call the theatre department at 407-646-2501 for more information.

And tomorrow at 10 a.m. The Orlando Opera’s Education Department presents The Billy Goats Gruff at the Downtown Orange County Library. This is a great way to get kids excited about music, call the opera at 407-426-1717 for your reservation.

Tuesday October 7th  

Hi. I’m Secily Wilson, here’s a look at your local arts scene this week with The Arts Connection Minute for Tuesday October 7th.

Tonight at 7:30 electronic music composer and performer Curtis Bahn will be at Stetson University for a truly unique performance combining Indian and electronic music. Call the concert hotline at 386-822-8947 for your tickets.

And visit Bok Sanctuary in Lake Wales for Stefan Alexandres’ award-winning exhibit Repousse Artscapes. His exhibit will be on display through November 23rd with a demonstration on October 11th. Visit boksanctuary.org for more details.

Wednesday October 8th

Check out the new exhibit Family Ties: Three Generation by Judy Gelles at The Brevard Art Museum. This humorous social commentary on life will on display through November 9th. Visit brevardartmuseum.org for more details.

Thursday October 9th 

Hi. I’m Secily Wilson, here’s a look at your local arts scene this week with The Arts Connection Minute for Thursday October 9th.

This week there is plenty to do with the Steinway Society of Central Florida as they kick off their 2008 event program.

Thursday visit the Seminole Cultural Arts Council Exhibit at the Steinway Piano Galleries in Altamonte from 6 to 8 p.m. showcasing the art of local Seminole County artists.

Friday join Bob Frier and Simulcast Band at the Lake Mary Dexter’s at 9 p.m.

Saturday is the charity golf tournament at Magnolia Plantation and they wrap things up on Sunday with the Piano Gifting Celebration at the Steinway Piano Galleries starting at 2:30 p.m.

And at 8 p.m. tonight, the Orlando Ballet raises the curtain on the 2008-2009 season with Don Quixote. This festive ballet is on stage this weekend only so visit orlandoballet.org for your tickets.
