An Update on the Goal To End Homelessness in Central Florida in Ten Years

December 5, 2008 -- This morning, the Homeless Services Network of Central Florida will hold it's third annual Project Homeless Connect event in downtown Orlando. It's a chance for people iwthout a home to get a shower and a meal along with help finding a job, a new place to live, legal services, and mental health counseling. We thought this would be a good time to check on how things are going for the Central Florida Commission on Homelessness. Several months ago, the Comission announced a goal of ending homelessness in the area in ten years. But that takes a lot of money. 90.7's David Pitman sat down with commission member Cathy Jackson, who's also the Executive Director of the Homeless Services Network. David asked her how much money the Commission was hoping to raise.
