Stipulation in law lets uncertified interpreters still work in Florida

December 19, 2008 -- When someone who doesn't speak English goes to court in Florida, that person is guaranteed the right to an interpreter to help translate. Interpreters are supposed to be certified through a new state program, passed in the wake of a botched court case in Volusia county But as 90.7's Steve Brown reports, many courts still use uncertified interpreters.
