April 17, 2009—Endeavour rolled to the pad today to act as the rescue Shuttle for Atlantis during the Hubble repair flight. Astronaut Chris Ferguson and three crewmates will be in standby in case Atlantis is damaged. The next use for pad-B will be the test launch of the Ares 1X, set for July. It’s similar to the rocket that will carry the next generation Orion capsule.
