May 20, 2009-- After fixing the Advanced Camera for Surveys and the Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph on Hubble, the Atlantis crew is getting to schmooze with Congress. At the request of U.S. Senator Barbara Mikulski of Maryland, the astronauts will testify, from orbit, before her Committee tomorrow. Astronaut John Grunsfeld was asked, if he had the ear of President Obama, what would he say? Grunsfeld responded, keep to NASA's mission of heading out to the Moon, Mars, near Earth objects like asteroids, and so on.
