Dick and Lou Think Crist Should Appoint Himself to the U.S. Senate August 12, 2009 -- Florida Governor Charlie Crist has to name a replacement for retiring U.S. Senator Mel Martinez. Crist is a candidate for the permanent seat. He says he won't appoint himself to serve out the remainder of Martinez's term, but 90.7's political commentators Dick Batchelor and Lou Frey think he should reconsider.
