A Busy Week at The Cape

There's plenty of activity at Cape Canaveral to begin the week. The crew of the Space Shuttle Atlantis is arriving at the Kennedy Space Center to begin practicing for their scheduled mission to the International Space Station. That launch is tentatively set for November 19th. Meanwhile, NASA is rolling the Ares I-X rocket out to the launch pad. The roll out was delayed for 24 hours after engineers discovered a nitrogen leak. The slow move to the launch pad is now scheduled to begin just after midnight tonight. NASA hopes the 400 million dollar rocket will be part of the program that will eventually replace the shuttle. If NASA's plans are successful, the Ares will to take the Orion crew capsule up to the moon. The test flight is set to launch Next Tuesday.
