Swine Flu Shots Difficult to Find

The Orange County Health Department says more than 30 thousand doses of H1N1 swine flu vaccine have been allocated for doctors, clinics, pharmacies and hospitals. But while the nasal mist version is available at some clinics, the injectible form of the vaccine is more difficult to obtain. The injectible vaccine is recommended for pregnant women, people with weakened immune systems and certain other health problems. A spokesman for the county health department says shipments of vaccine are arriving regularly and will continue to arrive until at least January. The health department is planning to offer free vaccination events, but because of limited quantities, those events are postponed until late November or early December.
